This afternoon, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of each awardee, hoping you leave feeling connected to this vibrant community and empowered to continue your pursuits in computing. Your hard work, dedication, and passion are truly inspiring. Thank you for being here to share this moment; let’s make it a memorable celebration of your contributions to the world of computing.

ICS OAI

The ICS Office of Outreach, Access, and Inclusion (OAI) is committed to diversifying the tech sector and making all areas of computing inclusive across the intersections of gender identity, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and disability status.

We strive to build an equitable and diverse, inclusive community of students, educators, and researchers that actively empowers individuals from historically marginalized groups in computing.

About Aspirations in Computing

As computing careers offer job security, high salaries, and meaningful work, the lack of diversity means lost innovation and unequal access to these opportunities. The Aspirations in Computing (AiCO) award is crucial because it not only highlights the talents of individuals from historically marginalized groups, encouraging them to continue in their computing paths, but it also promotes systemic change by increasing awareness of equity needs in technology.

By connecting awardees with a supportive community and showcasing their successes, the AiC award aims to inspire confidence and foster inclusion, which is essential for broadening the perspectives and possibilities in computing.
